“Save a Mother’s mission is important because the health of families and communities are tied to women. Better access to maternal health care will reduce the estimated half a million pregnancy related deaths that occur each year and also help reduce child mortality rates. Improvements in the health of pregnant women and new mothers are critical to ensuring children survive their first years. I am excited to work with an organization who’s goal is to improve access and educate women about their health in countries with significant gender health disparities.”I graduated from University of Michigan’s Business School and currently work at one of the largest non-profit hospitals in Chicago and volunteer with community-based health clinics both in the city and abroad.. I hope to continue working in the non-profit sector with an emphasis on global health.
